So how is everyone doing on their New Year’s Resolutions? Let me guess. You’re doing great, you’re still trying or forget it, you gave up a long time ago. I hope you haven’t given up. There are still 11 months of the year and you can still achieve those goals.
As for myself, I’m doing great (well better) on eating healthier. I have a healthy salad almost every day for lunch and I have cut back on the red meat. I’ve also cut out most of the ice cream and sweets.
I am back to exercising (now that rainy season is over) and I walk almost every day. I have Tom drop me off somewhere different every day, on his way to work, then I walk home. There are some pretty steep hills so it is a pretty good workout. I’m also still lifting my soup cans (I may have to get the big chunky soup cans) because the little ones are starting to feel too light.
We’ve been working sporadically on our websites but they are moving forward. This month will be a slow month because Tom takes his Bar Exam at the end of the month and needs to start studying for it.
As for my personal site (this one) you know that I haven’t been posting much lately. It doesn’t mean that I haven’t been working. In fact I have spent the last two weeks putting together my list of previous jobs. I had done this list about a year ago and somehow it disappeared from my computer. I had to go through over 40 years of diaries, journals, appointment books and calendars to find all of the information. Now that I have the time line in place it will be much easier for me to write each individual story. I’ve also started working on some of the stories so they will also be coming soon. Really!
So, I wouldn’t say that I am doing great but I’m still going forward and refuse to give up. (even when I backslide a little) I know that eating healthy and exercising will not only benefit me now but in the future as well. Once I get most of my stories written I will be able to throw away all the memorabilia that I have been keeping for the past 40 years. It will all be consolidated here on the site.
