Happy New Year 2010
I’d like to wish all of you a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2010.
Each and every year we make New Years Resolutions. By Valentine’s Day most of those resolutions have been forgotten. So if we really want to make changes in our life, what can we do to accomplish these changes? I have a few idea that I think will help you (and me) be more successful this year, than we have been in the past.
1) Don’t choose 10 or 20 resolutions. That’s just too many things to change. Limit your resolutions to 5 or less.
2) Be specific about the changes you want to make. Lose weight or save money is not specific enough. Say how much weight you want to lose per week or how much money you want to save per week. Keep it manageable.
3) Ask friends and family for support. These are people who love us and want us to be successful. Tell them to remind us the importance of our resolutions if we happen to slack off or give up.
4) Make a public declaration. If no one knows your resolutions, it’s very easy to just give up. The more people who know about your resolutions, the more likely you are to stick to them. This is because we don’t want to look like a failure in others eyes.
5) If you falter or take a step backwards, don’t worry. You have 365 days to get your resolution accomplished. Once it is accomplished, reward yourself and be proud that you were able to follow through.
My personal New Year’s Resolutions!
1) Eat healthier – eat more fruits and veggies and eat less meats and sweets
2) Exercise more – do at least 5 days of aerobic exercise & 3 days of weight bearing exercise a week
3) Personal Blog – write at least 1 hour per day & post at least 3 times per week
4) Websites – work at least 1 hour per day on our new (hopefully money making) websites
I’m posting this publicly in hopes that you will all keep me accountable for the above resolutions. I will occasionally blog about how my progress is going. If you see me slacking off, remind me. It will help me to stay on track.
I hope you all make resolutions and I hope that you all achieve them. If you do, you won’t have to make them again next year
Hi, my name is Billie Walter. I knew that one day I would write the stories of my life. In fact, I was offered a book deal when I was twenty years old but I decided to wait until I was a little older and had a few more life experiences. Since then I've had 5 different name changes, more than 20 different careers and more than 225 different jobs. I've also had a lot more life experiences so I've decided to set up a site where I can share my stories with friends, family and anyone else who is interested in reading them. I hope you enjoy them because they're all true.
